Per Diem Urgent Care Physician Assistant/Nurse PractitionerAbout Us Holtzman Medical Group is excited to announce the opening of our new Urgent Care center. We are committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care with convenient access for our community. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Urgent Care team on a per diem basis. The ideal candidate will have experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, family medicine, or a similar clinical setting and be comfortable independently evaluating and treating patients with a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries. Available Shifts Monday•
Friday:
4:00 PM•8:00
PM Saturday:
9:00 AM•5:00 PM Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute illnesses and minor injuries. Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including obtaining medical histories and conducting physical examinations. Order, interpret, and review diagnostic testing, including laboratory studies and imaging. Perform common urgent care procedures such as wound care, laceration repair, splinting, incision and drainage, and other minor procedures as needed. Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans in accordance with state regulations and clinical best practices. Educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, preventive care, and follow-up recommendations. Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient clinic operations. Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record. Qualifications Current Massachusetts Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license. DEA registration and Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration (MCSR). Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience preferred; urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care experience strongly preferred. Strong clinical decision-making skills and ability to work independently. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
