The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is responsible for delivering medical management, participating in the informed consent process, engaging in shared decision-making discussions with participants, evaluating participants, and complete assessments as required such as physical examinations, collecting medical and psychiatric histories, and the collection and proper storage bio specimens. The NP will also oversee medication management and consult with staff to ensure a patient-centered, harm reduction-focused approach. Required to participate in recruiting and retention of participants. Share in tracking process of participants. Participate in the informed consent process and engage participants in a discussion process to evaluate potential status as a participant. Complete physical examinations and medical histories as required. Collect and process all biological samples required. May assist and prepare samples for shipment. Evaluate all pertinent screening and baseline assessments prior to participant randomization to ensure the eligibility and safety of the participants in the study. Document and review all adverse and serious adverse events including assessing severity, causality, and seriousness. Reporting to proper persons or agencies in the event of an SAE. Follow all guidelines for completing required checklists and progress notes. Develop and update SOPs as necessary. Perform evaluations, assessments and medical procedures as described by the protocol and MOP. Complete all documentation and data input in a timely manner. Evaluate participants for suicidal or homicidal risk and document clinical findings. Provide advice for decisions to exclude, refer, or withdraw participants as required. Epitomize professionalism in teaching, clinical care, and leadership.?? Participate in all staff and research team meetings as required. Keep all licenses and board certifications active. Maintain all SSTAR and protocol required trainings and CME requirements. ??

Hourly rate:

$55 - $70/hour Experience and Skills Education & Experience Current license to practice as a registered nurse in Massachusetts. National certification as an Adult Nurse Practitioner. Massachusetts license to practice in the expanded nursing role. Addiction medicine knowledge required?? Knowledge of practice management systems Ability to collect and process biological samples Knowledge of advanced medical practice including medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology and therapeutics, basic nutrition, behavioral factors, psychosocial/family systems, diagnostic testing, interpretation of results and clinical decision making and alternative treatment modalities as related to MAT.?? Knowledge of regulations related to evaluating and providing patient care and professional ethics related to the delivery of patient care.?? Knowledge of health promotion, health risk identification and patient education principles and techniques.??? Possess or obtain prescription privileges in Massachusetts. Certified in Basic Life Support (CPR)
