At Merrimack Health , we are committed to pay transparency and equity. The base salary range is $80.00 to $120.00 hourly, excluding fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Your final base salary will be determined based on your education, experience, licensure, and internal equity considerations. Offers are typically made below the top of the range to support future salary growth. Position Overview Merrimack Health is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP) to join our Emergency Department team. This position is a 0.85 FTE (34 clinical hours per week) role, with clinical responsibilities across both the Methuen and Haverhill Emergency Departments. Responsibilities
- Provide direct emergency care to patients across all acuity levels in both Methuen and Haverhill EDs.
- Perform comprehensive histories, physical exams, diagnostic ordering/interpretation, and procedures within APP scope.
- Collaborate with emergency physicians, nursing, and consultants to deliver efficient, evidence-based care.
- Participate in maintaining throughput, patient safety, and quality benchmarks.
- Contribute to a positive, team-based environment that values compassion, service excellence, and professional growth. Qualifications
- Licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- ACLS and PALS are required.
- Minimum of 1 year of active Emergency Department practice (post-training).
- Strong clinical skills in emergency medicine procedures (e.g., suturing, splinting, I&D, fracture management).
- Commitment to patient-centered care, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Schedule & Employment

- Coverage across both Methuen and Haverhill ED campuses. Possible opportunity to work at Lawrence General Hospital campus.

About Methuen and Haverhill ED's:
Merrimack Health Methuen and Haverill (formerly Holy Family Hospital) is a 310-bed full service, acute care hospital with two campuses located in Methuen and Haverhill, Massachusetts. We provide expert care in orthopedics, wound care, women's health, cardiovascular services, stroke, and behavioral health. The Methuen campuses offers inpatient medical/surgical units, advanced ICU capabilities (Methuen), Ob/Gyn, and specialized psychiatric care. Haverhill is transitioning to become a satellite ED on October 1st and will continue to offer 24/7 emergency services including advanced imaging.Methuen ED:
Serving more than 35,000 visits annually, the Methuen Emergency Department is a busy, full-service ED staffed with emergency physicians and advanced practice providers.
