The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will work closely with therapists, social workers, case managers, and other clinical staff to ensure coordinated, culturally responsive care for individuals and families in the community.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and mental health evaluations Diagnose psychiatric conditions and develop individualized treatment plans Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications and monitor treatment effectiveness Provide medication education and support to patients and families Collaborate with therapists, LICSWs, case managers, and other clinicians to ensure coordinated care Participate in team meetings and treatment planning discussions Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with professional and regulatory standards
Requirements:
Active Nurse Practitioner license in Massachusetts Certification or specialized training in psychiatric/mental health care preferred Experience working in community behavioral health settings strongly preferred DEA certification to prescribe controlled medications Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently and as part of a team Commitment to working with diverse communities and underserved populations
