Position Overview:
As a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician assistant, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based care to children from infancy through adolescence. You will diagnose, treat, and educate patients and their families on a range of pediatric health issues. The ideal candidate is committed to delivering compassionate care, advocating for patient health, and building strong relationships with families.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments, physical exams, and health histories for pediatric patients. Diagnose and treat common pediatric illnesses, injuries, and developmental issues. Prescribe medications, therapies, and interventions as appropriate. Provide preventive care, including immunizations, screenings, and health education. Counsel patients and families on lifestyle modifications, health promotion, and disease prevention. Collaborate with pediatricians, specialists, and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health records (EHR) Athena Participate in patient education programs and community outreach initiatives. Stay current with advancements in pediatric care and medical practices.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program. Certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Physician assistant (PA) through an accredited certification board. Valid state RN and Nurse Practitioner licenses. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Pediatric Physician assistant (preferred but not required). Strong knowledge of pediatric healthcare, medical practices, and patient care procedures. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
