At Synergy Medical Group, we are dedicated to helping patients restore function, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life. Our interdisciplinary team provides comprehensive Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) services with a patient-centered approach. We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our growing PM&R team in Maryland.
Position Overview:
The PM&R Nurse Practitioner will collaborate closely with Orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, and other specialists to provide high-quality rehabilitative care to patients with musculoskeletal, neurologic, and functional impairments. This role includes both inpatient and/or outpatient responsibilities (depending on practice setting) and offers opportunities for professional growth in a supportive environment. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including histories and physical exams Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and nursing staff Manage chronic pain, musculoskeletal, and neurologic rehabilitation cases Order and interpret diagnostic tests Prescribe medications and therapies within scope of practice Educate patients and families on treatment goals and self-management strategies Document all encounters and updates in the EMR accurately and timely Qualifications Licensed Nurse Practitioner in the state of Maryland (required) Board Certification as a Family NP or Adult NP (PM&R experience preferred) DEA license (or eligibility to obtain) Prior experience in PM&R, orthopedics, neurology, or pain management preferred Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care
