Sleep and Obesity Medicine Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will provide comprehensive care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care. You will work closely with physicians and other Nurse Practitioners and healthcare professionals to ensure the highest level of patient care.
Duties:
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
  • Prescribe medications and monitor patient response to treatment
  • Implement Value based medicine and quality metrics
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and their families on disease prevention, health promotion, and management of chronic conditions
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of care
  • Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) Eclinical Works for accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality
Requirements:
  • Valid Adult Nurse Practitioner license in Maryland, as well as, maintain active CDS and DEA certificates
  • Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program
  • Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the respective specialty area (e.g., Family Practice, Adult-Gerontology)
  • Minimum of [2] years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferred
  • Strong clinical skills with proficiency in performing value based medicine
  • Knowledge of utilization management principles and practices
  • Familiarity with laboratory testing and interpretation of results
