Job Description
Nurse Practitioner (Waldorf, MD & Alexandria, VA)
Schedule & Compensation:
This is a Fulltime opportunity 10-hour shifts 4 days a week. Monday-Thursday. Compensation is anyw between $70- 75 per hour.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Interview patients for health history and perform physical examination
- Order and evaluate appropriate diagnostic and laboratory tests
- Document H & P, progress notes, and treatment plans
- Act as liaison between patients and physicians to coordinate recommended patient care as well as pre
- and post-operative care
- Caring for patients in both the clinic and hospital setting
- Participate in multi-disciplinary quality and service improvement meetings
- Other duties as assigned Requirements
- Education/Training
- Master of Science degree or higher, with completion of a Nurse Practitioner Program
- License/Certification
- ed and currently recorded with the Pennsylvania Board of Nursing, and certified as a Nurse Practitioner in the area of specialization
- Orthopedic experience is a plus Physical/Mental Requirements Sitting, standing, walking, reaching above shoulder length, working with body bent over at waist, working in kneeling position, crawling, climbing stairs, climbing ladders, working with arms extended at shoulder length, lifting max.
