Full-Time Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) opening at an outpatient, private practice interventional pain management clinic in
Bangor, Maine:
- Great opportunity in a friendly work environment! We are a strictly interventional pain management clinic, and prescribe NO controlled substances, and do NOT provide long term medication management
- Monday through Friday daytime clinic, no nights, call, weekends, or holidays
- 8 paid holidays & 3 summer paid days off, in addition to 4 weeks paid time off, which increases to 5 weeks after two years, and 6 after 4 years

Job Description:
Advanced Practice Providers (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) will evaluate and treat new patients and follow up patients with chronic pain complaints, in conjunction with the assigned physician. They perform proper history and physical evaluations of all patients and make sure they are documented accordingly in the electronic medical record in a timely manner. They will evaluate patients for possible procedures and obtain proper consent when they feel a procedure is indicated. They will be responsible for medication recommendations and may prescribe medications (no controlled substances). They will be responsible for coordinating follow ups, referrals and new orders where indicated, and proper patient education. They will communicate directly with the assigned physician regarding these manners and will consult with them on difficult cases. They will be responsible for proper communication with the patients' other medical providers. They will provide proper ICD coding and billing information. They will be responsible for ensuring proper prior authorization has been obtained for procedures when necessary.Requirements:
- Valid, active APRN or PA license in the State of Maine
- Experience in Pain Management is not required
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$100,000.00- $130,000.
