Job Description

We are seeking a full-time Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to serve as Lead Provider in Farmington, ME. This is a leadership role for an experienced APP who is committed to high-quality, patient-centered care and to mentoring clinical staff in a fast-paced urgent care environment. As the site's clinical lead, you will ensure clinical excellence, promote evidence-based practice, and support a collaborative culture that prioritizes safety, efficiency, and positive patient outcomes. You will provide direct urgent care services to patients of all ages while supervising and developing clinicians, including new graduate NPs/PAs and allied health staff.
Key responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive urgent care across the lifespan. Serve as clinical leader for on-site staff, modeling best practices and maintaining high standards of care. Mentor, precept, and support new graduate providers and allied health professionals. Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, regulatory requirements, and quality initiatives. Contribute to process improvement efforts to enhance patient flow, safety, and clinical outcomes.
Qualifications:
Master's degree from an accredited NP or PA program. National certification by an appropriate NP or PA certifying body. Active Maine license, or eligibility for Maine licensure. Unrestricted DEA registration required. BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross). Clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care strongly preferred. Previous leadership, mentorship, or precepting experience is preferred.
Compensation and benefits:
