Job Description

Overview Our outpatient psychiatric clinic is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP‑BC) for a W‑2 position with a 2‑year contract (or 3‑year contract with enhanced bonus). This role provides adult medication‑management in a calm, structured environment using paper charting. We offer strong administrative support, credentialing, billing, and malpractice coverage. Responsibilities Conduct adult psychiatric evaluations Perform new‑patient assessments focused on diagnosis, medication planning, and treatment stabilization. Provide combined medication‑management and brief psychotherapy Follow‑up visits are billed as 99214 + 90833 , reflecting a 22.5‑minute combined service (standard 30‑minute appointment). Document follow‑ups as "4's" Use the clinic's structured workflow for consistent 99214 documentation. All notes are handwritten; no EMR systems are used. Up to 16 adult patients per day once fully onboarded. New evals are billed separately at the higher rate. Provide safe, evidence‑based psychopharmacology. Support coping skills, behavioral strategies, and emotional regulation within the visit time. Work with front desk and billing staff for scheduling, documentation, and workflow support. Monday-Thursday required; Friday optional; 8 AM-5 PM. Ensures continuity of care and scheduling stability. Sign‑on bonuses tied to contract length. Requirements Maintain accurate paper charting Manage a steady outpatient caseload Conduct new‑patient evaluations Adjust medications based on clinical response Deliver brief psychotherapy interventions Collaborate with administrative staff Maintain predictable schedule Provide 1‑month notice for vacation Commit to a 2‑ or 3‑year contract Active PMHNP‑BC certification Maine NP license Active DEA registration Comfortable with paper charting — no EMR Experience with adult outpatient psychiatry Comfortable providing brief psychotherapy during medication‑management visits — follow‑ups billed as 99214 + 90833 Comfortable with productivity‑based pay Ability to work a consistent 8 AM-5 PM schedule Willingness to relocate to Presque Isle, Maine Willingness to sign a 2‑ or 3‑year contract Must carry personal health insurance Reliable and efficient with 30‑minute visits

$150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
