0.5 FTE Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our comprehensive pain management team. The NP will work collaboratively with physicians and a multidisciplinary care team to evaluate, treat, and manage patients with acute and chronic pain conditions. This role includes independent follow-up care, participation in new patient consultations under physician supervision, and responsible pain medication management in accordance with CDC guidelines. Key Responsibilities Conduct independent follow-up visits for patients with chronic pain conditions Participate in new patient consultations in collaboration with supervising physicians Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in coordination with the care team Prescribe and manage medications, including controlled substances, in compliance with CDC and state guidelines Monitor patient progress, treatment effectiveness, and adjust care plans as needed Provide patient education on pain management strategies, medication safety, and lifestyle modifications Collaborate closely with interventional pain physicians. Coordinate care with social workers to support patients' psychosocial and behavioral health needs Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) Ensure adherence to regulatory, ethical, and clinical standards of care Qualifications Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Maine Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (e.g., FNP, AGNP) DEA license with prescriptive authority Experience in pain management, primary care, or related field preferred Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills Knowledge of CDC guidelines for opioid prescribing and pain management best practices Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment Preferred Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience as an APP Prior experience in pain management, musculoskeletal care, primary care, or related field preferred Experience working in multidisciplinary or integrated care settings .
