This energetic role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality, comprehensive patient care across diverse settings, including outpatient clinics, emergency departments, and post-acute care facilities. As an NP, you will play a vital role in diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide spectrum of acute and chronic conditions, ensuring timely and effective patient outcomes. Your expertise will contribute to a collaborative environment focused on innovation, compassion, and excellence in healthcare delivery. Duties Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to evaluate symptoms and determine appropriate treatment plans. Manage urgent care cases by diagnosing illnesses, injuries, and acute conditions with precision and confidence. Administer medications, including injections and IV infusions, following best practices for safety and efficacy. Perform procedures such as suturing,injections and dermal filler injections with skill and aseptic technique. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) system Athena to document medical records accurately and efficiently. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, and utilization review to optimize patient care pathways. Provide telehealth consultations utilizing telemedicine platforms to extend care access beyond traditional settings. Engage in clinical research initiatives or quality improvement projects to advance evidence-based practices in urgent and primary care. Qualifications Current Nurse Practitioner license with certification in family practice, urgent care, or internal medicine. Proven experience working in urgent care or emergency medicine environments Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Athenahealth, or Cerner; familiarity with CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding is a plus. Strong skills in clinical procedures including suturing, phlebotomy, venipuncture, sterile processing techniques, and airway management. Knowledge of infectious disease care, acute pain management, hospice & palliative medicine principles, and Workers' Compensation law is advantageous. Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics (including toddler and neonatal care), geriatrics (memory/dementia care), assisted living residents, individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities. Excellent patient assessment skills combined with physiology knowledge to deliver compassionate and comprehensive care across outpatient settings.
