Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations, vital signs, and medical history reviews to inform diagnosis and treatment plans. Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and DEA regulations. Perform advanced procedures such as suturing, IV insertions, catheterizations, spinal taps, and dermal filler injections with precision and sterile technique. Manage acute and chronic conditions across various specialties including emergency medicine, geriatrics, behavioral health, gastroenterology, infectious disease care, and pain management. Utilize EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently while maintaining medical records in compliance with HIPAA standards. Collaborate seamlessly with healthcare professionals across disciplines to coordinate patient care, discharge planning, case management, and utilization review. Engage in telehealth consultations to extend care access remotely while ensuring high-quality clinical evaluations. Experience Proven clinical experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics (experience working with children), geriatrics (memory care or Alzheimer's care), or individuals with disabilities. Hands-on experience in hospital settings such as Level I or Level II trauma centers, ICU units, emergency rooms, or inpatient medical-surgical units. Skilled in performing complex procedures including airway management, ventilator support, cardiac catheterization preparation, sonography, gastroscopy (gastric lavage), and spinal taps. Familiarity with medical coding systems such as CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9/10 (International Classification of Diseases), and ICD coding for accurate documentation and billing. Experience working in outpatient clinics or urgent care environments with a focus on acute pain management and triage protocols. Knowledge of healthcare diagnosis processes across multiple specialties including internal medicine, occupational health, hospice & palliative medicine, and behavioral health. Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems like Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks for documentation; experience managing electronic health records efficiently is highly valued.
