Job Description:
Utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision making skills, works independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. Provides health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. They may care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted in age-related category and area of expertise.

Job Description Urgent Care Detroit Lakes, MN Our Detroit Lakes Urgent Care is seeking a provider to join the team in providing exceptional healthcare to our growing community and the surrounding area. With strong community involvement and a solid sense of teamwork, become a part of this busy practice setting. This ideal practice setting offers access to the resources of a multi-specialty clinic and is adjacent to the hospital and emergency medicine department. Our UC team consists of 3 Advanced Practice Providers with MD oversight. 0.9 FTE Must be certified to care for individuals of all ages Patient variety and high-acuity needs Open Mon-Fri from 8a-8p, Sat & Sun from 8a-4p 3 shifts/week rotating every 3rd weekend and every 3rd holiday Variable schedule floating needed to cover CME/vacations at Park Rapids HWY 34 Walk-In Clinic. May also provide coverage in ED, if interested Ability to work within a team The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills, the NP/PA works independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. NP/PAs provide health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. They may care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted in age-related category and area of expertise. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others.
EDUCATION/TRAINING
Master's or Doctorate degree in Nurse Practitioner or Bachelor's/Master's degree in Physician Assistant program from an accredited program/institution. Experience in Emergency Medicine, Walk-In or Urgent Care preferred!
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Current licensure as a registered nurse in appropriate state (if NP). Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in appropriate state. Current certification in CPR National certification, in applicable area. Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.
