Overview:
Injury Treatment Centers of KC is the leading multidisciplinary diagnostic and treatment center for brain and spine injuries after car accidents. Seeking a skilled and compassionate therapy Assistant to join our team. As a Therapy Assistant aka Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting our physicians and Nurse Practitioner in administering therapy and other treatments. If you have a passion for helping others and possess basic knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology, we encourage you to apply.Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and assist with check-in procedures
- Perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs and documenting medical history
- Provide PT and rehab therapeutics for patients and coach them with certain exercises.
- Perform certain diagnostic exams, testing and xrays (you will be fully trained on the job)
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient visits
- Assist the physicans and Nurse Practitioner during examinations and treatments
- Educate patients on proper posture, exercise techniques, and home care instructions
- Administer therapies such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, or heat/cold therapy as directed by the chiropractic physian or Nurse practitioner.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient records
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Chiropractic Assistant is helpful but not required
- Basic knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology
- Excellent patient care and social skills with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately
