Job Description

We're seeking an experienced emergency medicine Advanced Practice Provider to join a busy ED team in Independence, Missouri. This locum position offers ongoing coverage in a fast-paced, patient-centered setting where collaboration with physicians and nurses is valued. What to expect

Electronic Medical Record in use The department Busy ED with about 80 visits per day Admission rate around 3.5% Strong physician and nursing support Wide variety of emergency cases with opportunities to perform routine ED procedures Your role You will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with low- to moderate-acuity emergency conditions.
Typical responsibilities include:
Performing common ED procedures such as laceration repairs, splinting and fracture stabilization, incision and drainage, and routine wound care Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests Collaborating closely with emergency physicians, nursing staff, and ancillary teams to deliver timely, high-quality care Accurately documenting patient encounters in the electronic medical record Qualifications Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program Board certified as an NP or PA Active Missouri license or ability to obtain licensure Prior Emergency Department experience required If you thrive in a collaborative, fast-moving ED and have strong procedural skills, this is a great opportunity to make an immediate impact.
