We are seeking an experienced, independent, and highly skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide exceptional care for our diverse patient population. This is a unique opportunity to specialize in a highly respected field and work alongside leaders in vascular surgery.
The Opportunity:
What You'll Do As a key member of our clinical team, you will manage a specialty patient panel, combining clinical expertise with surgical support and research.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Specialty Patient Management:
Perform comprehensive history and physical examinations, and provide diagnosis and treatment for patients with a wide range of venous vascular diseases in both clinical and surgical settings.
Diagnostic Interpretation:
Order and expertly interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory work, imaging studies, and vascular sonography .
Treatment Planning:
Prescribe medications and other treatments, providing holistic counseling and education to patients on preventive healthcare and disease management.
Surgical Support:
Collaborate with vascular surgeons to coordinate pre-operative, peri-operative, and post-operative patient care.
Independent Practice:
Operate autonomously within your scope of practice, making critical, evidence-based decisions for patient care.
Research & Documentation:
Engage in and support clinical research studies and evidence-based practice initiatives. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems. What You'll Bring (Qualifications)
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a clinical setting.
Specialized Knowledge:
Prior experience with or strong interest in venous, vascular, or surgical medicine is highly desirable.
Research Acumen:
Familiarity with clinical research methodologies and protocols.
Preferred Experience:
Previous experience in vascular is a plus.
Certification & Licensure:
Valid Nurse Practitioner license. Certification by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners ( AANP ) and/or American Nurses Credentialing Center ( ANCC ). Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner with the Mississippi State Board of Nursing .
