Job Description

Summary The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant is responsible for providing quality care to patients while under the supervision of a licensed physician. Essential Duties and Responsibilities These duties and responsibilities described below represent the general tasks performed on a daily basis; other tasks may be assigned. Qualifications Education and Experience Minimum Required Education:
Graduation from an accredited Physician's Assisting program with successful completion of the National Certifying Examination administered by the National Commission of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with successful completion of the National Certifying Examination.

Experience:
2+ years as a Physician Assistant, or Nurse Practitioner, is preferred Certificates, Licenses.

Registrations Applicant must possess a current, unrestricted license to work as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in the Commonwealth of Virginia and/or the State of North Carolina, a current DEA certification without restrictions, and BLS Technical/other training or better.
