Medical Director (Med-X) Position Overview Med-X is seeking a PRN Medical Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to deliver on-site medical services within premier eating disorders and Behavioral Health facilities in Raleigh/Durham, NC. This role focuses on the medical care of patients in eating disorders treatment - and behavioral health facilities ; managing both chronic and acute conditions, providing medical clearance, and coordinating care. It does not include psychiatric services . The APP will serve as the primary on-site medical provider , working collaboratively with psychiatry, nursing, and clinical teams to ensure safe, integrated, and high-quality medical care across all levels of care. Core Responsibilities Medical Care Delivery Perform comprehensive medical evaluations and physical exams upon admission. Provide ongoing management of acute and chronic medical conditions. Evaluate and manage medical complications. Order, interpret, and act on laboratory and diagnostic results. Provide medical clearance for admissions and transfers. Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings.
