Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with experience in medical dermatology to join a growing rural dermatology practice. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, evidence-based dermatologic care while building meaningful patient relationships and improving access to dermatology services in underserved communities.

Responsibilities:

Perform dermatologic evaluations and full-body skin exams Diagnose and treat common and chronic skin conditions Identify and manage precancerous and cancerous lesions Perform dermatologic procedures, including biopsies, cryotherapy, and lesion removal Develop treatment plans and prescribe medications Educate patients on skin health and treatment plans Maintain accurate EMR documentation and ensure HIPAA compliance Collaborate with supervising physicians and clinical staff Participate in ongoing dermatology-focused education and training

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications Master's degree from an accredited NP or PA program Active North Carolina NP or PA license New graduates are accepted (must have prior RN experience in Dermatology minimum 4 to 5 years) National certification (AANP/ANCC for NP or NCCPA for PA) Minimum 1 year of dermatology experience (medical dermatology preferred) Strong diagnostic reasoning and procedural skills Excellent communication and patient education abilities Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment Preferred Qualifications Dermatology certification (DCNP or equivalent) or willingness to pursue certification Experience performing dermatologic procedures Familiarity with dermatoscopy and EMR systems Interest in rural healthcare and long-term patient relationships
