Job Description
Locum Tenens Urgent Care Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide urgent care coverage throughout a network of outpatient clinics in eastern North Carolina. This is an ongoing locums opportunity with a primary home clinic and the ability to pick up additional shifts at nearby locations. Providers must be comfortable traveling within the local service area and supporting multiple clinic sites as needed. Coverage Location Primary coverage will be in Morehead City, NC, with opportunities to pick up additional shifts in: Morehead City, NC Leland, NC Kinston, NC Wilmington, NC Providers should be open to supporting multiple clinic locations based on operational and scheduling needs. Practice Setting Urgent Care Walk-in clinic environment Adult and pediatric patients No call responsibilities Epic EMR Ongoing locums assignment Full-time availability required Clinical Responsibilities Treat a wide variety of urgent care presentations, including: Sprains and strains Fractures and dislocations Lacerations and wound care Burns, cuts, and abrasions Upper respiratory infections Sinus infections Sore throat and strep throat Urinary tract infections Allergic reactions Dehydration General acute illness and injury Procedures Required Providers must be comfortable performing: Laceration repair Incision and drainage (I&D) Ear irrigation Wound management Minor urgent care procedures Patient Population Pediatric patients (6 months and older) Adolescents Adults Geriatric patients Candidates must be comfortable treating all ages independently. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Active North Carolina Nurse Practitioner license Board Certified Nurse Practitioner Active DEA BLS Certification Minimum 12 months of Urgent Care experience as an APP Experience treating both pediatric and adult patients Ability to function as the sole provider in clinic when needed Experience performing common urgent care procedures Epic EMR experience preferred Preferred Qualifications
