Job Description

Description Northern Family Medicine, a department of Northern Regional Hospital, is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our established primary care team in Mount Airy, North Carolina. This role provides the opportunity to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative, team-based environment supported by the clinical and operational resources of a regional health system. The APP will play a key role in expanding patient access, supporting continuity of care, and advancing population health initiatives within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care services Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic conditions Deliver preventive care, screenings, and wellness visits Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams Participate in quality improvement and population health initiatives Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record Support patient access and practice growth initiatives Requirements Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program Current NCCPA certification (PA) or national board certification (NP) Active or eligible North Carolina license DEA certification
Preferred:
Experience in primary care or family medicine Interest in rural or community-based healthcare Strong commitment to team-based care
