We're looking for experienced Nurse Practitioners to join a secure healthcare facility in Salisbury, North Carolina, on a full-time locum tenens basis. This is an ongoing, 40-hour/week clinical on-site assignment where you'll provide primary care, manage chronic conditions, and treat acute illnesses in a structured, regulated environment. Why this role? Meaningful clinical work in an institutional setting with a steady 40-hour schedule. Opportunity to use your primary care skills to support continuity of care and preventive medicine. Collaborative environment with access to supervising physicians and specialist referrals when needed. What you'll do Conduct comprehensive evaluations: intake assessments, follow-ups, complete medical histories, and physical exams. Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions within your scope of practice. Prescribe medications (including controlled substances as appropriate) and develop treatment plans. Order and interpret labs, imaging, and EKGs; provide immunizations and preventive care per guidelines. Educate patients about medications, self-care, and disease prevention. Make timely referrals to supervising physicians or specialists for complex issues. Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record. Follow facility policies, regulatory requirements, and participate in quality improvement and utilization review activities. What we're looking for Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program. Current, unrestricted North Carolina NP license. National NP certification (ANCC or AANP); board certified or board eligible. DEA registration or ability to obtain prior to start. BLS required; ACLS preferred. Ability to practice within North Carolina regulations and obtain required institutional credentials and security clearance. Successful completion of required background investigations. Prior experience in primary care, institutional, or underserved settings is preferred. Assignment details
