Short Description Advanced Practice Provider (APP) - Advanced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Cooper Neurosurgery The Advanced Practice Nurse assumes responsibility for advanced nursing practice within a clinical specialty. In consultation with other members of the health care team, strengthens nursing practice and promotes positive patient outcomes. Responsibilities include clinical practice, staff and patient education, and research. The Advanced Practice Nurse serves as a significant member of the multidisciplinary health care team in the inpatient, outpatient and community settings. Education Requirements Master's Degree - Nurse Practitioner with Acute Care certification or Physician License/Certification Requirements Board certification Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Board certification as Physician Assistant; Active New Jersey License; American Heart Association ACLS/BLS and CDS/DEA Special Requirements Scheduled Days /
