Job Description

Absolute Awakenings Treatment Center is committed to providing long-term recovery for those struggling with addiction and mental health disorders. AATC believes recovery is not a one-size-fits-all approach and each client who walks through our doors will have their own unique, individualized experience as we do everything in our power to help them. We are looking for innovative and dedicated individuals to join our team. The Position As the facility's primary Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will be expected to: Provide psychiatric evaluations to patients 12-17 years and old, with chemical dependency and co-occurring disorders within 48 hours of admission to the facility. Conduct routine pharmacological management and evaluation. Collaborate and consult with Psychiatrists consistent with Absolute Awakenings Treatment Center's practice standards and Collaborative Agreements. Collaborate with the facility's Medical Director Order and interpret diagnostic tests. Order medications via the facility's EMR for the appropriate clients. Review urine screens as needed. Order and review blood work as needed at local output laboratories. Conduct follow-up appointments as indicated by client acuity and need, using psychiatric progress notes. Maintains and follows patient care protocols. Works with members of the healthcare team in educating the patients of their medical care. Coordinates with the care team throughout the treatment week. Write orders for medical medications and treatments, under guidelines of licensure. Utilization reviews as requested by UR for peer to peer. Attends MH Pharmacology group on Tuesdays as needed/directed by Clinical Director. Initiate and prescribe MAT (Suboxone/Vivitrol) Attend weekly Tuesday SUD case review and Thursday MH case review meetings. Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation as determined by the facility in which the APN is providing services. Provide comprehensive documentation to document ongoing needs for treatment. Review and complete FMLA and STD documentation for clients. Continually update clinical knowledge and skills through consultation, formal and informal education and review of literature for the benefit of themselves as well as for the healthcare team. All other duties as assigned. Salary is negotiable and experience-based.
Qualifications:
A current CPR/BLS card with demonstrated cognitive skills is required. Must possess a Master's Degree in Nursing Must have current and valid Advanced Practice Nurse license with at least one year experience of providing direct patient care with exception as allowed by hiring manager. Must have prescriptive authority XDEA# ("X-Waiver") preferred
