is looking to hire a full-time Psychaitric Mental Health Nurse Practioner (PMHNP-BC) for our mental health, substance use disroder, and co-occurring diagnosis programs. Accredited by The Joint Commission for its high standards of care, North Jersey Recovery Center seeks passionate and talented individuals to join its staff. About thePosition:
The Psychiatric APN will collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, attend clinical meetings and see clients individually as determined by their clinical need, as assigned by the Clinical Director and Director of Medical Services. He/she will prescribe indicated medications for Outpatient Treatment and will assume responsibility for assuring adequate supplies of prescribed medications and refills.Schedule:

Provides Psychiatric Evaluation and ongoing medication management to clients inAPC, IOP, OP, MM
level of care as need and as assigned Prescribes psychotropic medications and medication changes, documents rationale for medications and updates client's progress in EMR Ensures compliance with applicable New Jersey State and Federal Regulations regarding prescribing practices Completes Mental Status Examinations, Safety Assessments, and assesses/documents client's appropriateness for level of care The Psychiatric APN reviews lab results and results with client, and orders appropriate follow-up laboratory or diagnostic procedures Participates in clinical meetings and practices as a member of the multi-disciplinary team Acts as a resource to Clinical team in providing education and information pertinent to Psychiatry and Addiction treatment Provides individualized education to clients on Co-Occurring Disorders, psychotropic medication management, anti-craving pharmacotherapies, and the assessment and management of Post-Acute Withdrawal Symptoms and their corresponding treatment protocols. Assumes responsibility for monitoring refills of medications for clients throughout their treatment. Assesses each client for Medication Assisted Treatment, orders MAT medications as appropriate Participates in Infection Control, Quality Improvement and Peer Review activities and committee meetings as they relate to mental health and addiction issues. Prepares required reports and completes required paperwork as it relates to the programs and services in the expected time frame Provides timely documentation in clients' Electronic Medical Record (KIPU), consistent with established criteria for UR and billing purposes Assists in crisis situations Assesses current clinical and programmatic practices and identifies opportunities for improvement and implementation of evidence-based best practices Meets regularly with Medical Director for formal and informal supervisionQualifications:
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practioner training and certification Graduate from accredited Psychiatric APN program Maintains current NJ APN license and DEA license/registration Experienced in addiction nursing and trained in treating psychiatric/co-occurring disorders Minimum 1-year experience/knowledge in Psychiatric Nursing and/or Substance Abuse treatment Malpractice Insurance Maintains a current CPR certificationBenefits:
