Job Description

Overview We are seeking a Part-Time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to support a growing psychiatric nurse practitioner group practice by providing in-person mental health evaluations and medication management as well as virtual walk-in coverage during downtime . This role is designed to support compliance with New Jersey telehealth legislation requiring quarterly in-person evaluations for ADHD treatment . You will work collaboratively with the patient's primary virtual provider to ensure continuity of care while enabling providers to maintain their existing ADHD caseloads without interruption. The ideal candidate is collaborative, organized, and comfortable working within a hybrid care model that integrates in-person visits with a primarily telehealth-based provider network .

Up to 24 hours per week Key Responsibilities In-Person Clinical Care Conduct quarterly in-person evaluations for patients receiving ADHD treatment in compliance with NJ regulations. Perform routine psychiatric medication management visits . Take and document vital signs and other relevant clinical measures. Conduct and document Mental Status Exams (MSE) . Evaluate medication efficacy, side effects, and adherence. Provide clinical observations and documentation to support the patient's primary provider. Collaborative Care Work in close collaboration with the patient's primary telehealth provider . Provide supportive documentation and clinical updates that enable the primary provider to continue managing the patient's treatment plan. Escalate clinical concerns or treatment changes to the primary provider as appropriate. Virtual Walk-In Coverage During downtime between in-person visits: Provide virtual walk-in appointments for the practice. Support patients needing urgent medication follow-ups or brief psychiatric consultations . Assist with maintaining access to care across the practice's virtual patient population. Documentation & Compliance Complete accurate, timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record. Ensure documentation supports continuity of care with the primary provider . Maintain compliance with New Jersey regulatory requirements related to ADHD treatment and telehealth care . Qualifications Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) . Active New Jersey PMHNP license . Active New York PMHNP license . Active DEA registration . Ability to practice independently in accordance with state regulations . Experience providing psychiatric medication management . Strong clinical documentation skills. Comfortable working in both in-person and telehealth environments . Preferred Experience Experience treating ADHD across the lifespan . Familiarity with telepsychiatry workflows . Experience collaborating within multi-provider psychiatric practices .
