The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Job Summary RWJ Somerset is seeking a Per Diem Advanced Practice Provider to join their ICU team. The APP is an independent health care provider who coordinates inpatient care through collaboration with the Physician for Critical Care patients The PA or APN provides care in accordance with the objectives policies and procedures of the practice and the New Jersey State Board of Medical Examiners Physician Assistant Nurse Practitioner Advisory Committee.
Shift:
Per Diem Days 7a-7p Essential Functions Demonstrates strong organizational skills communicates effectively and demonstrates time management Performs duties independently and provides comprehensive critical care services to patients in the ICU and IMCU including assessment diagnosis and management of complex high acuity conditions Thoroughly explains procedures to patients prior to testing and performs appropriate ordering and interpretation of laboratory and diagnostic testing Participates in multidisciplinary rounds, care planning and family discussions Perform and or assist with invasive and noninvasive procedures in accordance with hospital privileges and scope of practice Provides appropriate patient teaching as necessary Demonstrates the ability to compassionately interact with patients across different areas of care Job Requirements APN or PA Current APN license (with RN license and NP certification) or PA license (with NCCPA) Current NJ CDS and DEA Current BLS and ACLS Acute care certification preferred 1 to 2 years acute care hospital experience preferred
