Locums About the Facility This facility is a forensic state hospital providing inpatient psychiatric services for an adult population within a secure, structured clinical environment. The facility maintains a multidisciplinary team, including staff psychiatrists, to support coordinated and continuous psychiatric care delivery. Locum tenens coverage is sought beginning November 2026 on an ongoing basis to meet the clinical needs of the population served. About the Facility Location Trenton, NJ offers a range of cultural and historical attractions, including a state museum, a planetarium, a historic state house, and an old barracks museum. The downtown area features theaters, art venues, and a multicultural dining scene. The surrounding region provides access to historic landmarks, parks, and outdoor recreation opportunities along the Delaware River. About the Clinician's Workday Clinicians in this role will provide full-time inpatient psychiatric services for an adult forensic population, working day shifts totaling 40 hours per week on-site. Clinical responsibilities include rounding on 25 patients, completing progress notes, and preparing discharge summaries; patients on general units are seen weekly and more frequently as needed, while rounds on admission and intensive treatment units are conducted daily. Clinicians will share the caseload collaboratively with staff psychiatrists under a formal collaboration agreement. Clinicians are not responsible for admissions, court appearances, or seclusion and restraint activities.
