Nurse Practitioner - Advanced Practice + Farmington, NM, New Mexico + salary + $60-65hr / Hour + Hours per week + 40 + Shifts + Day + Start Date + Unavailable + Duration + 52 weeks + Job Number + 1100 GhostRx is hiring qualified Family Nurse Practitioners to join the Farmington Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Farmington, New Mexico, delivering primary care to the Veterans who served our country. You'll work independently and collaboratively with the medical staff to diagnose and treat acute, chronic, and long-term healthcare issues; identify, evaluate, and address disease prevention and health promotion needs; order and interpret diagnostic tests; and select or furnish pharmacological agents and durable medical equipment as appropriate. Documentation in CPRS using POE is part of the daily workflow, along with following NMVAHCS clinical guidelines and assigning accurate ICD and CPT codes for each patient encounter. Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a required two-week training in Albuquerque before deploying to Farmington. We're looking for an FNP with an active state license in any U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or the District of Columbia, at least one (1) year of direct patient care experience within the last three years, current ACLS and BLS certifications, and an up-to-date immunization record or titers; VA experience is desirable. If you're a Family Nurse Practitioner who values mission-driven work and serving those who served, apply today. •Qualification and Requirements•+ Active state license as a Family Nurse Practitioner in at least one (1) U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or the District of Columbia. + Minimum of one (1) year of direct patient care experience within the last three (3) years; VA experience desirable. + Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required. + Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. + Current immunization record or titers. + Must complete at least two (2) weeks of training in Albuquerque, NM before deploying to the Farmington VA Medical Center. + Ability to execute position responsibilities independently and collaboratively in accordance with the scope and Standards of Nursing Practice. + Working knowledge of CPRS, Provider Order Entry (POE), and electronic medical record documentation. + Familiarity with ICD and CPT coding for outpatient encounters. + Strong clinical assessment, decision-making, and communication skills. + Ability to treat staff, patients, and family with respect and dignity. + Must pass federal background investigation and pre-employment drug screen. •Responsibilities•+ Execute position responsibilities independently and collaboratively in accordance with the scope and Standards of Nursing Practice within the specialty area. + Work in an independent and interdependent relationship with members of the medical staff. + Effectively identify, evaluate, and address disease prevention and health promotion issues while administering quality patient care. + Maintain legible, accurate, and confidential medical records, documenting all medical evaluations, diagnoses, treatments, outcomes, education, referrals, and consultations. + Document care/visit in CPRS appropriately, accurately, and concisely; utilize Provider Order Entry (POE). + Follow clinical guidelines and standards of practice as provided by NMVAHCS for health promotion, maintenance, and illness prevention. + Diagnose and treat acute, chronic, and long-term healthcare issues. + Develop care and treatment plans consistent with patient assessments. + Order and interpret diagnostic tests appropriately. + Select, furnish (prescribe), or recommend pharmacological agents and durable medical equipment appropriately. + Treat staff, patients, and family with respect and dignity. + Use clinical research techniques in decision-making and in making recommendations. + Identify and document appropriate International Classification of Diseases (ICD) and Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) coding for patient encounters.
