Job Description

Immediate opening for Nurse Practitioner to support Holloman Air Force Base, NM. Nurse Practitioner will be assigned to the Deployment Readiness Health Assessment (DRHA) team. Qualifications Must be licensed registered nurse certified in family medicine by the American Nursing Certification Center or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Possess and maintain an unrestricted U.S. state license Must have a minimum of one year experience within the last three years routinely practicing as a Nurse Practitioner. Duties include but are not limited to the following: Holloman AFB requires the Family Nurse Practitioner to perform deployment related health assessment (DRHA) and annual mental health assessment services that comply with applicable Department of Defense and Air Force policy and guidance, to include required standards of care and clinical practice guidelines. Family Nurse Practitioner must become proficient in the use of the following computer systems: Composite Health Care Systems (CHCS) - Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA), Aeromedical Services Information Management System (ASIMS), and Preventive Health Assessment and Individual Medical Readiness (PIMR). On an as-needed basis, to not exceed 25% of their time, the DRHA Nurse Practitioner will also perform the following Separation History and Physical Examination (SHPE) duties to assist with manpower needs: See members for face-to-face Separation History and Physical Examination (SHPE) appointments. During the appointment, the provider will review the DD Fonn 2807-1 in ASIMS, conduct a clinical exam, and document findings on DD Form 2808 in ASIMS. The provider will also complete the MHA during the exam if required. Refer members to the in-Transition Program. Determine SHPE disposition (medically cleared or not medically cleared for retirement or separation.
