Ithaca, NY W-2 Position Flexible Schedule Full Time At The Nurse Practitioner Group, LLC, we support U.S. Veterans through high-quality disability evaluations while offering providers flexibility, autonomy, and strong work-life balance. We are seeking Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to perform Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams for Veterans in Ithaca, NY. This is a non-treatment role focused on: Focused history & physical exams Medical documentation Disability evaluations Completing VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) No prescribing, no ongoing patient care, and no on-call responsibilities. Day in the Life Conduct C&P disability exams according to VA guidelines Review medical records and perform focused assessments Complete accurate DBQ documentation and medical opinions Submit reports within required timelines (24-48hrs) Order diagnostic testing when clinically indicated (labs, imaging, EKG, etc.) Maintain HIPAA compliance and professionalism Review records in EMR/provider portal Evaluate Veterans during scheduled appointments Complete DBQs and documentation Work independently with administrative supportRequirements:
Qualifications Required MSN, DNP, PA-C, MD, or DO from an accredited program Active New York license Current board certification (AANP, ANCC, NCCPA, etc.) BLS certification Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills EMR/computer proficiency Must provide a laptop Smartphone for work communication and system access Preferred Experience with C&P exams, disability evaluations, or occupational health Familiarity with VA/DBQ documentation 1+ year provider experience preferred (new grads welcome)Benefits
