Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide high-quality behavioral health care in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) settings. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and treat residents with psychiatric and behavioral conditions. This is an excellent opportunity for providers who enjoy autonomy, flexible scheduling, and meaningful patient impact . Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments Diagnose and manage mental health conditions Prescribe and monitor medications (DEA required) Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and social workers Provide ongoing follow-up and treatment planning Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations Requirements Requirements Active New York Nurse Practitioner license Board Certification as PMHNP Active DEA license Experience in SNF, long-term care, or geriatrics preferred Strong communication and teamwork skills Experience with geriatric psychiatry Familiarity with EMR systems Benefits Benefits Flexible schedule (no nights / minimal call) Competitive compensation and benefit package Supportive clinical team Growth opportunities Ability to work independently
