Nurse Practitioner - WEEKENDS (Scarsdale, NY) At Sprain Brook Manor, we're dedicated to providing exceptional care and rehabilitation services to our patients. As a Nurse Practitioner on our team, you'll play a vital role in helping us achieve this mission. We're seeking an experienced and skilled NP to join our team in Scarsdale, New York. About the
Role:
As a Nurse Practitioner at Sprain Brook Manor, you'll work collaboratively with our medical director and attending physicians to provide high-quality medical care to our residents.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assessing, diagnosing, and treating medical conditions in accordance with your scope of practice and NYS Law Taking and reviewing patient medical histories, conducting physical examinations, and writing admission and follow-up notes in the EMR Ordering and interpreting labs and diagnostic studies, and prescribing medications, including controlled substances Making referrals as needed and developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with our medical team
Schedule:
We're looking for a Nurse Practitioner who can work PT/Per Diem, ideally on weekends.
Minimum Requirements:
Current nursing and advanced practice license in compliance with State law Current DEA licensure Certification in your area of specialty PECOS approved Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships Experience working with older adults with complex medical conditions Ability to assess subtle changes in health conditions of the older adult Working knowledge of State and Federal Long Term Care regulations Excellent administrative, organizational, and verbal skills Effective communication skills with the geriatric population Ability to work independently Detail oriented Dependable and reliable Proficiency in EMR systems, including
Sigma/MatrixCare Preferred Qualifications:
Clinical background in adult, family, or geriatric practice Past experience working in a nursing home or with older adults in other settings Experience working in a post-acute setting PVL placement proficiency
