Telehealth Nurse Practitioner (in office) First MedCare $140,000
  • $180,000 a year
  • Full-time Full job description: Duties
  • Monitor and interpret patients' vital signs, such as heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Document patients' medical histories, symptoms, and observations
  • Educate patients and their families about their conditions and provide emotional support
  • Operate and maintain specialized medical equipment used in telemetry monitoring
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide appropriate interventions
Qualifications:
  • valid Medicaid ID number
  • Valid nursing license in the state of New York
  • Proven experience as a Telemetry Nurse or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of cardiac monitoring equipment and interpretation of telemetry data
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast
  • paced environment
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems for documentation purposes
  • Understanding of infection control protocols and ability to maintain a clean and safe patient environment
Skills:
  • Case management: Ability to coordinate care across multiple healthcare providers and ensure continuity of care for patients.
  • Family planning: Knowledge of contraceptive methods, reproductive health, and family planning services.
  • Utilization review: Understanding of the process of evaluating the appropriateness, necessity, and efficiency of medical services.
  • Medical office systems: Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems, scheduling software, and other medical office technologies.
  • Standards:
    Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to nursing practice and patient care.
  • Infection control: Knowledge of infection prevention protocols to minimize the risk of healthcare-associated infections.
  • Primary care: Understanding of primary care principles and ability to provide comprehensive care to patients across the lifespan.
  • Dementia care: Experience or training in providing specialized care for patients with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
