Job Description

GPHI is looking for 2 exceptional Nurse Practitioner's who specialize in primary and acute care. Primary Care - The CNP will be responsible for providing primary care and providing care for patients with critical and acute conditions within a skilled nursing facility or assisted living. A successful candidate will have the ability to work within both seetings and possess a strong background in medical screening, ect. This is a unique opportunity for the right candidate to gain exposure to a wide variety of medical situations with a well-respected medical group. Acute Care NP - The CNP will be responsible for providing acute care in a hospital setting.
Responsibilities:
Make diagnoses based on symptoms, medical history, and physical examination. Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as blood tests, X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, etc. Perform procedures such as lumbar punctures, electrocardiograms, EKGs and other diagnostic procedures. Provide initial treatment for patients. Perform procedures in the hospital that may include inserting tubes into patient's airways or veins, administering anesthesia, performing surgery under anesthesia, etc. Provide ongoing care of patients including determining appropriate lab work or imaging studies. Provide follow-up care for patients, such as to answer questions after discharge or to see if any symptoms have returned or become more severe.
