About Ocean Wounds Ocean Wounds is a mobile wound care company providing specialized wound management services to skilled nursing and post-acute care facilities. Our providers work directly with facility teams to evaluate and treat patients with acute and chronic wounds while helping improve healing outcomes and continuity of care. We are currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide wound care services in the Dover, Ohio area and surrounding communities . Position Overview This is a part-time, 1099 opportunity for an Ohio-licensed Nurse Practitioner interested in providing wound care in skilled nursing and post-acute care settings. You will perform wound assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, provide appropriate wound treatments and procedures within your scope of practice, and work closely with facility nursing staff and the Ocean Wounds clinical team. Wound Care Certification (WCC/CWS) is preferred but not required. We are open to NPs with strong clinical experience in wound care, skilled nursing, long-term care, geriatrics, primary care, or post-acute care. Schedule Flexible weekday schedule Part-time opportunity Consistent facility coverage Approximately 4-6 hours per clinical day, depending on patient volume No weekends required Opportunity for additional coverage as Ocean Wounds expands Responsibilities Perform comprehensive wound assessments and evaluations Diagnose and manage acute and chronic wounds Develop and update individualized wound treatment plans Perform wound debridement and other wound-related procedures within scope of practice Select and recommend appropriate wound care products and dressings Monitor wound progression and healing Document assessments, treatments, procedures, and patient progress accurately Communicate treatment recommendations with facility nursing staff Collaborate with the Ocean Wounds clinical team Provide ongoing wound management and follow-up care Qualifications Active and unrestricted Ohio Nurse Practitioner license National NP board certification Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills Ability to work independently in skilled nursing and post-acute care settings Excellent communication and organizational skills Wound care experience preferred WCC/CWS certification preferred but not required Experience with wound assessment, treatment, and debridement preferred What We Offer $68-$75 per hour Flexible part-time schedule 1099 contractor opportunity Consistent facility-based patient volume Clinical support from an experienced wound care team Training and onboarding provided Opportunity to develop specialized wound care experience Local territory designed to minimize unnecessary travel Potential for additional coverage as the territory grows Service Area This position is based in Dover, Ohio (44622) and will primarily cover facilities in Dover and surrounding communities, including New Philadelphia, Uhrichsville, Bolivar, and nearby Tuscarawas County communities .
