at Premier Rheumatology of Oklahoma! Premier Rheumatology of Oklahoma is looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our thriving Rheumatology practice in Glenpool, OK. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to provide quality healthcare to patients as part of our team environment. This provider obtains patient history, diagnoses and manages various disease states via observation, interview, and examination, orders and interprets diagnostic studies, and provides direct treatment and management of rheumatological conditions. The nurse practitioner counsels and educates patients and their families/caregivers concerning treatment options, prognoses, disease states, medications, and community resources, and accurately and efficiently documents delivery of health care and nursing processes in accordance with specific specialty standards in EMR (NextGen) software. We offer competetitive salary and benefits including medical, dental, vision, life and short-term disability insurance, along with PTO and a generous number of paid holidays. Benefits for Nurse Practitioners also include malpractice insurance provided under the clinic plan, continuing education expenses provided up to $2000/year, and lunch provided three days a week. This position is full-time with clinic hours Monday through Thursday (8-5) and Friday (8-2) with no weekends or holidays, offering a nice work/life balance. Salary range is $114,000--$128,000, commensurate with experience. Nurse practitioner must have current Prescriptive Authority and be a Registered Nurse credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing. A Master's degree of Nursing is required with at least 3 years experience, Rheumatology and IV therapy experience are preferred. Maintenance of BLS and all certification is required; cost will be covered by Premier Rheumatology of Oklahoma. Pre-employment drug testing required.
MEDICAL MARIJUANA POLICY
In consideration of our employee's health and for the safety of our work environment, use of Medical Marijuana will not be allowable for PROK employees while on duty. The Oklahoma Unity Bill allows your employer to prohibit Medical Marijuana by Employees in Safety-Sensitive positions; including direct patient care and dispensing pharmaceuticals. A positive test for marijuana alone will not be grounds for termination; however, a positive test accompanied by inadequate performance or coming to work under the influence will result in counseling and possible termination. Employers in Oklahoma are not required to permit or accommodate the use of medical marijuana at work or during work hours; are not prevented from having written drug testing policies that comply with the Oklahoma Standards For Workplace Drug and Alcohol Testing Act; and, are not required to reimburse an employee for costs associated with the use of medical marijuana.
