Full Time Description Position Summary The Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner operates as established medical authorities through collaborative care agreement with physicians and surgeons. The NP/PA is responsible for but not limited to the following; Prepares and records patient's history, performs physical examinations and formulates treatment plans for patients. Participates in management of patient's care, both in- and out-patient, by facilitating, expediting and coordination of routine diagnostic procedures, writing orders for appropriate medical care and determining need for consultation.
Certification/Licensure PA-C:
Physician Assistant certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician's Assistants (NCCPA) AND Licensed by the Oregon Board of Medical Examiners (OBME)- OR•
NP:
Nurse Practitioner licensed by Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN)AND RN:
Registered Nurse licensed by Oregon State board of Nursing is requiredBLS:
Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required upon start Required certifications based on area of specialty and define by Asante medical staff services are as follows: Advance Care Nurse Practitioner Certification Must obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs Provider shall meet all qualifications to participate in hospital's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
