Job Description Summary Samaritan Health Services in Oregon has an opportunity for a Pulmonology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate in Corvallis, Oregon! Samaritan Health Services, a non-profit integrated health care delivery system, is seeking a full-time Pulmonology APC to join our team in Corvallis, OR. Based at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, a level 2 trauma center, Samaritan Pulmonology provides consultation and care of diseases affecting the respiratory system, including treatment for COPD/asthma, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary vascular disease and thoracic malignancy. Our award-winning health system provides exceptional primary care and a range of specialty services throughout the mid-Willamette Valley and Central Oregon coast. The network serves approximately 300,000 residents in Linn, Benton, Lincoln and portions of Polk and Marion counties. Job Specifics Manage a panel of patients largely focusing on obstructive lung diseases Collaborate with pulmonologists in the outpatient setting 15-20 patients per day 34 patient facing hours/week Handles urgent appointments for established pulmonary medicine patients and new patient visit/follow ups On-site Pulmonary Function Lab Hospital employed Job Requirements The successful candidate will be responsible for clinical management of pulmonary patients, patient education, follow up, interpretations of diagnostics, medication management, and responding to patient questions on a variety of medical issues Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic pulmonary illnesses Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care Should possess excellent clinical skills, communication skills, and a strong commitment to providing excellent care that is team oriented.
