Job Description
Providence PACE is seeking a full-time Physician to join our Portland, Oregon team. This is an excellent opportunity for a primary care provider who values team-based care and has strong interest or experience in geriatrics and palliative care. You will join an established, interdisciplinary program that provides older adults with comprehensive whole-person care, including medical, behavioral health, therapeutic, and recreational services. Our PACE program focuses on keeping older adults active and fostering independence. Some visits will be in outpatient primary care clinics, but many visits will be in private residences, assisted living facilities, adult care homes, skilled nursing facilities, and other community-based settings. Join an exceptional team of caregivers who are deeply committed to the health, dignity, and well-being of older adults. Full-time at 1.0 FTE Monday to Friday, daytime hours Care provided in a variety of settings, primarily community-based but also outpatient clinics Collaborate closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, nurse care managers, social workers, pharmacists, psychiatric/mental health clinicians, therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members Ideal candidates are resourceful, clinically confident, and able to build trust quickly with patients, families, and care teams One year of post-graduate clinical experience working with a geriatric population preferred Training and/or experience in palliative care and/or hospice valuable Generous salary, incentives, relocation assistance, and CME funds and hours Comprehensive employed provider benefits package including Paid Time Off, Health, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, and Malpractice Insurance As a non-profit organization, Providence is an eligible employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program Join a team dedicated to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Where You'll Work Providence PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) is a federally recognized program and the first of its kind in Oregon, serving older adults since 1990. With seven centers across the Portland metro area and an additional rural coastal health center in Seaside, Providence PACE provides comprehensive, community-based care for adults age 55 and older. The program offers fully coordinated Medicare- and Medicaid-covered services and much more, including all medical and nursing care, rehabilitation services, home health, long-term care, and social support, helping participants remain as active and independent as possible.
