Job Description

EP Advanced Practice Provider Position Description:
Penn Medicine - The Heart Group of Lancaster General Health is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider to join our established Electrophysiology (EP) team, working 10-hour shifts (8 shifts per 2-week pay period) with a typical schedule of 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM. This role offers a balanced practice model of approximately 60% inpatient and 40% outpatient care, with occasional weekend and holiday coverage. The Heart Group is a high-volume cardiology practice with 34 physicians and 28 Nurse Practitioners, including 4 EP physicians and 5 EP NPs. Our team provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care for patients with cardiac rhythm disorders. We operate four state-of-the-art EP labs and support one of the highest-volume conduction system pacing programs in the country. Our APPs play a key role in patient management, including implantation of loop recorders in the hospital setting.
Role Overview:
Inpatient rounding, consults, and discharge coordination Outpatient EP clinic visits Care of patients with atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, device management, syncope, and other rhythm disorders Collaboration with pacemaker/device technicians and cardiology teams Opportunities to participate in clinical research
Requirements:
Nurse Practitioner:
Valid Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) license and Certificate of Prescriptive Authority in Pennsylvania Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license Adult/Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification (ANCC or other qualifying agency required) Minimum one year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, with EP experience preferred
Physician Assistant:
Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Physician Assistant Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program Cardiology experience required, EP experience preferred
