Job Description

Per Diem Nurse Practitioner Location:
Wellness Centers (Bloomsburg, Wilkes-Barre, Hazleton)
Compensation:
$ 60.00 per hour
Status:
Per Diem - Flexible scheduling and no weekends or holidays
Job Description:
The clinician provides comprehensive, patient-centered care focused on reproductive and sexual health. Responsibilities include counseling, examining, diagnosing, evaluating, and treating patients with a wide range of concerns, including sexually transmitted infections (STIs). The clinician will deliver evidence-based care in collaboration with the Medical Director, following current CDC STI Treatment Guidelines. The role also includes providing HIV prevention and treatment services, including prescribing and managing Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP), conducting HIV testing, and supporting ongoing HIV care and management. The ideal candidate is committed to delivering compassionate, nonjudgmental care and promoting health education and prevention within the community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform medical screening/examinations on clients for STIs. Provides treatment for STIs and other reproductive health issues. Thoroughly document all care in clinic's EHR. Assist in the planning and implementation of clinic services/programs. Providing information on STIs, treatment options, and other related needs. Provide care for clients living with HIV.
Requirement:
  • Currently licensed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Pennsylvania
  • 1-3 years experience as a Nurse Practitioner, including experience in reproductive health or infectious diseases
BLS Certification Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience in dealing with medically underserved populations and cultural competency Knowledge, comfort, and experience in dealing with sexual health Ability to speak Spanish is preferred but not required Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
