Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner)Infectious DiseaseUPMC Williamsport UPMC is seeking a Full-Time Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant/PA or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner/CRNP) to join our Infectious Disease team in Williamsport, PA. This role offers a dynamic opportunity to provide specialized care across inpatient and outpatient settings, with a strong emphasis on hospital-based consults and rounding. This is an excellent opportunity for providers interested in complex medical management, collaborative practice, and developing expertise in infectious diseases within a supportive, close-knit team environment. Schedule & Work-Life Balance + Monday-Friday | Approx. 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM + 25% outpatient clinic | 75% inpatient rounding/consults + 1:4 weekday call rotation + 1:4 weekend call rotation + Rotating holiday call coverage Compensation & Incentives + Competitive salary based on experience + Sign-on bonus available + Annual incentive bonus opportunity + Generous CME days and financial support + Robust retirement & benefits package Why This Role Stands Out + Practice primarily in the inpatient setting managing complex infectious disease cases + Join a small, highly collaborative team with strong working relationships + Develop specialized expertise in infectious disease and consultative medicine + Enjoy flexibility and supportive team dynamics + Work in a respected health system focused on high-quality, evidence-based care What You'll Do + Provide inpatient infectious disease consults and participate in daily hospital rounding + Deliver outpatient care for follow-up visits and ongoing disease management + Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for a wide range of infectious conditions + Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams + Participate in call coverage, primarily supporting patient needs via phone + Educate patients and families on treatment plans, prevention strategies, and follow-up care + Knowledge of growth and development principles + Ability to provide age-appropriate patient care across the lifespan + Ability to assess patient data and deliver care per departmental policies + Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, and clinical judgment skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment + Physical stamina and dexterity required for direct patient care + Successful attainment and maintenance of hospital privileges, where applicable.
Licensure, Education, Certifications, and Clearances:
