Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Williamsport, PA 4 DAYS AGO 22608249 Summary Williamsport, PA In-Person $41.24 - $54.65 per Hour 2 Years Experience Master's degree No Commission 37.50 hours per week / Day Shift / Full-Time Description Diakon Behavioral Health Services offers a range of counseling and behavioral services to children, teens, families and adult individuals. Services are provided through counseling centers in Mechanicsburg, Lewisburg, Montoursville, Williamsport, within several public-school buildings, Kennett Square, and Chester County. Specialized programs include family-based mental health services, provided in the community and in-home, addiction counseling, trauma-focused therapy and SPIN, a service designed to assist children and youths who have problematic sexual behaviors.
General Responsibilities:
Responsible for directing and administering psychiatric services and treatment planning. Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations to assess patients' mental health status and determine appropriate diagnoses and in keeping with professional standards of practice as well as DPW, DOH and other third-party requirements. Develop individualized treatment plan for each client per agency procedures, state regulations and third-party standards. Prescribe and monitor medications, adjusting dosages as needed to optimize patient outcomes. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as therapists, counselors, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
Education/Training:
Obtained a master's or postmaster's nurse practitioner program or other PA board-approved program that awarded an advanced degree. Holds a PA license as a Certified Nurse practitioner (CRNP). Holds a mental health certification or obtains a mental health certification within 2 years of being hired.
Experience:
A minimum of two (2) years' experience preferred.
ADA:
Ability to bend, stoop, stand, reach and lift items weighing up to 25 lbs.; valid driver's license.
