In this vital role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care across a diverse range of medical settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient units, and specialized care environments. Your expertise will support comprehensive assessments, diagnosis, treatment plans, and ongoing management of patients with various medical conditions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a broad spectrum of populations, from pediatric to geriatric patients, utilizing your clinical skills to improve health outcomes and enhance patient experiences. You will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care in a fast-paced, innovative environment. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments including physical examinations, vital signs, and medical history reviews using advanced EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic and eClinicalWorks. Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses across multiple specialties including internal medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health, and emergency medicine. Perform procedures such as suturing, IV insertion and infusion, catheterization, spinal taps, dermal fillers, botulinum toxin treatments for aesthetic purposes, and sterile processing techniques. Administer medications via injections or oral routes while ensuring proper documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide patient education on health coaching topics such as nutrition, disease management, medication adherence, and preventive care strategies. Collaborate with specialists in areas like gastroenterology, infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, occupational health, and trauma centers to coordinate comprehensive treatment plans. Participate in clinical research initiatives and quality improvement projects to advance evidence-based practices and optimize utilization review processes. Manage triage responsibilities in urgent care or emergency room settings including airway management and acute pain control. Support telehealth consultations utilizing telemedicine platforms to extend access to care for remote or underserved populations. Qualifications Valid certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with current state licensure. Demonstrated experience working in diverse clinical environments such as hospital medicine units (including
ICU/CCU/PICU
), emergency rooms (Level I & II trauma centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities or home care settings. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner or Athenahealth; experience with medical documentation and CPT coding is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology (including psychopharmacology), diagnostic evaluation techniques such as sonography or laboratory specimen processing. Skilled in performing advanced procedures including gastroscopy preparation (tube feeding), gastric lavage or spinal taps; familiar with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Experience working with special populations such as individuals with developmental disabilities or memory care needs; familiarity with Workers' Compensation law is a plus. Excellent patient assessment skills combined with the ability to perform clinical procedures like venipuncture or phlebotomy accurately. Ability to thrive in fast-paced settings such as urgent care centers or hospital environments requiring acute care expertise including ventilator management or dialysis support.
