Duties Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including patient history, mental status examinations, and diagnostic assessments using ICD-10 coding standards. Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications while monitoring patient responses and side effects, utilizing psychopharmacology best practices. Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating therapy, medication management, and lifestyle modifications to optimize mental health outcomes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across inpatient, outpatient, emergency room, and telehealth settings to coordinate care effectively. Provide crisis intervention and triage for patients experiencing acute psychiatric episodes or emergencies in various clinical environments. Document all patient interactions accurately within EMR systems ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies to foster engagement and adherence. Qualifications Active PMHNP license in Texas DEA license and prescriptive authority Board Certified PMHNP Strong clinical and communication skills Experience in outpatient psychiatry preferred
