Responsibilities Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including mental status examinations and diagnostic assessments utilizing EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks. Prescribe and manage medications within scope of practice, adhering to DEA regulations and clinical guidelines. Collaborate closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care plans. Provide patient education on medication management, behavioral health strategies, and lifestyle modifications to support recovery. Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver remote psychiatric services, ensuring accessibility for all patients. Document clinical encounters accurately in electronic health records while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Participate in case management activities, discharge planning, and utilization review to optimize patient outcomes. Qualifications Valid certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with current state licensure. Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations including children, geriatrics, or individuals with developmental disabilities. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Athenahealth or Cerner; telehealth experience is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology, behavioral health assessment techniques, and diagnostic evaluation tools like ICD-10 coding.
