Full Job Description We are seeking a compassionate and clinically skilled Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) to join our growing outpatient behavioral health practice. In this role, you will provide psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and medication management to diverse patient populations in a collaborative, outpatient setting. This position offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality care through a hybrid model combining telehealth and periodic in-person community-based services, helping expand access to behavioral health care in rural North Carolina. This is a flexible, volume-based role with strong growth potential for providers interested in building a consistent outpatient panel. RMBI is a growing outpatient behavioral health practice with increasing referral demand and established patient volume. Position Overview Outpatient behavioral health (no inpatient, no call) Hybrid care model: primarily telehealth with scheduled in-person services Flexible scheduling based on provider availability Collaborative, multidisciplinary care environment This is an independent contractor role with flexibility in scheduling and patient volume. Administrative and scheduling support is provided to assist with panel development. This is a panel-building, volume-based model with scheduling and referral support. Part-time providers typically begin with a smaller patient panel and increase volume over time, with earnings scaling accordingly. Part-time providers generally start with approximately 6-10 patients per week, with opportunities to grow toward a full panel based on availability and demand.

-Person Expectations Providers may be scheduled for up to 3-4 in-person days per month in community-based settings In-person services support access to care in rural and underserved areas Providers must be willing to commute up to approximately 1 hour for scheduled in-person service days (typically 3-4 days per month) In-person scheduling is coordinated in advance and designed to remain predictable and manageable. Compensation $71,000 - $160,000 annually (based on patient volume) Paid per completed, billable encounter No cap on earnings Scheduling and referral support provided Earnings increase as patient volume grows, with providers supported in building a consistent outpatient panel. This role is best suited for providers comfortable with a flexible, scalable income model. Duties & Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including mental status exams and diagnostic assessments Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based approaches Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed Provide patient and family education on medications and treatment plans Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams Document patient encounters in Athenahealth (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA Qualifications Active
PMHNP-BC
